		<description>Very informative post.  I had heard of shingles many years ago, because my parents know some older people.  I knew that it was a very painful disease.

I remember the fear my daughter had each time she brought home the &quot;chicken pox paper&quot; from school.  I remember when we had an airplane vacation planned and someone in school came down with the chickenpox.

My now 20 year old daughter was 10 and had not had the chickenpox when the vaccine came out.  She was more afraid of the chickenpox then of getting the vaccine.  We were one of the first to sign up for the vaccine once it reached pediatrician&#039;s offices.
